Today, I wanted to talk a little bit about insoles and my insole of choice and why. These are the KingFoam Memory Insoles. It’s gone by I think a different name, I think it was called Artilage, I’m not sure. And then this, now it’s got King Foam by Footprint Insole Technology, King Foam insoles take a look there. Anyway, these are insoles for skateboarders, which logically it makes sense because if you’re jumping on a skateboard, slamming down hard, you’re going to have a lot of knee and ankle wear and tear and damage over time especially. And that’s not too different than what you see on tennis courts right. Sticking a volley, hitting serves, just moving landing hard flat on your foot. And it happened to me, so I was hoping to play with the really light, fast shoes, the light Adidas shoes, or some of my favorites, the Asics. I think they were the Solution is what they were called.

How These Insoles Helped My Knee Pain & Achilles Tendinosis
But the more I played, the more my knee pain flared up and then I actually got a lot of Achilles pain. Specifically, I’ve got Achilles pain from Nike shoes, I don’t know if anyone else has experienced that too. But yes, just really sore, I’d wake up in the morning with the Achilles super stiff and painful to like walk and once it warmed up, then I can walk down the stairs or walk normally. But I found that I needed to make some changes there. I thought it was just something, I thought it was honestly something I needed to have surgery for, but I tested everything else like I do before getting surgery. I found that these shoes which are now out of date, the Adidas Barricades, they stopped making them. I think they may have made some new version of these, I’m not sure, but I’m just buying these on eBay for like 80 bucks.

So, Adidas Barricades, they fit me the best and they also have this huge cushion right. They’re clunky, they’re heavy, but they’re cushioned, and they work well for me. And then also I took the insoles out and put in these King Foam insoles, and they’re kind of thick, but they make a huge difference. I honestly, I noticed it pretty quickly, like within a week of playing with these shoes and these insoles, my Achilles pain in the morning was almost gone. I can just get up and walk normally and then very little knee pain.
Try The Kingfoam Insoles
So, I highly recommend the setup, at the very least try the insoles. I’ve got a link to the insoles in the description below. So, check them out, let me know what you guys think. If you have insoles that you think may work better, I mean, I’d be curious just to hear. But I’ve tested these and Super feet and a couple of others, and by far the KingFoams are the best. You can see it’s fpinsoles.com if you want to go straight to there. But if not, I’ll put a link to buy them on Amazon, it would help my store, help me monetize this channel a bit more and I’d appreciate it.
But if not, you got to check them out, fpinsoles.com, highly recommend these, easy to put in. You don’t have to heat them up in the oven. I think the old ones you had to heat up in the oven and then form to your feet. Yes, if you’re playing a lot like I am, I started picking up my frequency of play, these are a lifesaver. And you know, if these don’t work, the insoles in the shoe set up, maybe you just need to start looking at playing on clay and then if that doesn’t work, probably you know talk to your doctor and see. Maybe there’s some surgery or something that you need, but don’t take my advice on the surgery stuff, just try these things first. Hopefully, you can avoid surgery like I did. Thanks guys.
